Snowmobiling Package

For snomobilers, we are in the OFSC District 14 - Gold Rush Tour. Poplar Point Camp is located just off the A107C. There is a 1-km private trail and crossing Highway 560 to the laneway of the camp. We are located between Elk Lake and Gowganda on Long Point Lake.

Our camp is surrounded by hundreds of km of logging roads, lakes, portages & trails to suit and back country riders with so much untouched powder. If you are looking for the backcountry experience, we have a couple very experienced guides to help you around. The area is usually waist deep with snow by mid February and lasts into April. If you prefer to go on your own, no problem, we can provide you a map for your own fun.

One night cottage rental with the option to have all your meals made fresh and delivered to your cabins. This includes use of the sauna and free Wifi. You will be provided with all the ingredients to make your own dinner, packed lunch and breakfast.

Boat & Motor

Our 14′ boats  come complete with 15 & 8 HP outboards. One is supplied for every 2 full fare Guests.  Your first tank of gas, life jackets, anchor, paddle, live minnows or worms and bailing bucket are supplied. All boats have padded swivel seats and a mandatory boater’s safety kit is also included. We have a boat on a remote lake are equipped with new 8 HP Yamaha 2 stroke motors and boats that are 14′  long. 

​New boating regulations do not allow children under 17 years old to operate power boats. Regulations require a safety kit in each boat. These are supplied for your use. A short (10 minute) boater’s safety course is mandatory prior to being assigned your boat.

Bear Hunt Package

We have a very large bear management area which is about 200 sq km back to back. When you shoot your Black Bear our guide will help retrieve. The hide and meat will be stored in our walk-in freezer. After the hunter is over, you can spend the rest of your vacation fishing since a boat is included in your hunter package. In order to best manage the bear population and ensure personal attention to all hunters, we limit the number of reservations each year.

Booking Details

A deposit of $250.00 per bear hunter due upon booking.  Remainder due 30 days prior to hunt. After your deposit has been received and reservation is confirmed, should you need to cancel your reservation you may do so as per the following terms:

If reservation is cancelled prior to 91-days of your arrival, a written notice must be received via mail or email informing us of your cancellation. You will then receive your deposit back less a $100.00 administration fee.

If reservation is cancelled within 31 to 90 days of your arrival, a written notice must be received via mail or email informing us of your cancellation. You will then lose your deposit unless we are able to re-book at which point you will receive 50% of the deposit.

If reservation is cancelled within 15 to 30-days of your arrival, a written notice must be received via mail or email informing us of your cancellation. You will then lose your deposit.

If reservation is cancelled within 14-days of your arrival, but no less than 49 hours, a written notice must be received via mail or email informing us of your cancellation. You will then lose your full deposit and be charged a $200 cancellation fee. If we are able to re-book we will refund the cancellation fee only.

If reservation is cancelled within 48 hours of your arrival, it will be considered as a no show and will be subject to the full cost of the cabin and any boat/motor rentals which are tagged to the reservation.

If after your deposit has been received, no cancellation notice is given (no-show) we will process the entire amount of the reservation according to this confirmation.
